Liberals at UC Berkeley Use VIOLENCE to Shut Down Free Speech, But Milo Won

Liberals were out in full force Wednesday night to protest Breitbart News editor Milo Yiannopoulos.

The gay conservative’s final speech on his tour to call out the epidemic of political correctness on college campuses.

But their progressive tolerance quickly turned into violence throwing smoke bombs, smashing windows, and setting a tree on fire — not sure how environmentalists feel about that one…

“Violent left-wing protesters stormed the building and forced me to be evacuated by police and by my security detail,” Yiannopoulos told Fox News’ Tucker Carlson in a phone interview.

“One thing we do know for sure: the Left is absolutely terrified of free speech and will do literally anything to shut it down,” Milo added in an update on Facebook.

Thugs yelled “f*ck you!” to the police trying to control the situation outside the Martin Luther King Jr. Student Union.

According to Milo, a Trump supporter wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat was assaulted, kicked, and bloodied while on ground.

The Left proved yet again that if you disagree with them there will be hell to pay.

The footage from the violent demonstration looked more like something out of a torn Arab country than a college campus.

That or Animal Farm. I guess they really do believe some pigs are more equal than others.

Who knows if the violent thugs were professors, students, or professionals paid by Soros, but what we do know is they shut down free speech on a public university – using the threat and use of violence.

“The Free Speech Movement is dead,” said Pieter Sittler of the Berkeley College Republicans, the group that sponsored Milo on campus. “Today, the Berkeley College Republicans’ constitutional right to free speech was silenced by criminals and thugs seeking to cancel Milo Yiannopoulos’ tour. Their success is a defeat for civilized society and the free exchange of ideas on college campuses across America. We would like to thank UCPD and the university administration for doing all they could to ensure the safety of everyone involved. It is tragic that the birthplace of the Free Speech Movement is also its final resting place.”

“I think tonight is odious and a horrible spectacle and very humiliating for American higher education,” Yiannopolous told Carlson, but I would like to think that it will have a silver lining.”

Instead of giving a speech to a classroom full of people, liberal rioters at UC Berkeley gave Milo an audience of millions on Fox News and other media outlets.

Milo won.

As for cleaning up the mess, Fox News’ Todd Starnes posted a commonsense solution on Facebook:

“Riots erupt at UC Berkeley — as militant leftists shut down speech by a conservative commentator. They set fires to a tree and generator, smashed windows and burned the American flag.

Police did not intervene.

President Trump should immediately issue an executive order blocking Berkeley students from receiving any federal funding.

And the same goes for any other public university that wants to silence conservative voices. Free speech for all — or no federal dollars. Period.”

Todd’s got a point — and I don’t think anyone wants to see this get any worse than it already has.

It’s unbelievable! All this in response to a visa-carrying British gay political commentator speaking his mind on a college campus?
